Research Interests
Positive Reinforcement, Pro-Environmental Behavior Change, Behavioral Sustainability
Bio
Jade Radke (she/her) is a PhD Psychology student in the Behavioral Sustainability Lab at UBC. Her research focuses on the use of positive reinforcement to elicit pro-environmental behavior change. She is a recipient of the SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship 2024-2028, the Four Year Doctoral Fellowship 2024-2028, and the Indigenous Graduate Fellowship 2024-2028.
Prior to starting her PhD, Jade received her BA in Honours Psychology under the supervision of Dr. Russ Powell and Miranda Macauley (MA, BCBA) and earned her Behavioral Interventions Certificate of Achievement (BICA) from MacEwan University. Between degrees, Jade worked as an assistant behavioral therapist at an elementary school. She then earned her MA in Resources, Environment, and Sustainability at UBC under the supervision of Dr. Jiaying Zhao with a focus on the role of happiness in climate action. Currently, Jade is examining the effectiveness of various behavioral interventions for sparking climate action.
