Research

IRES research is interdisciplinary and problem driven. We seek to inform society about more sustainable patterns of decision-making and decision outcomes, bring to light injustices faced by marginalized populations and to maintain focus on understanding the root causes of socio-ecological degradation to work toward social and environmental justice. Co-production, Indigenous and policy engagement, and applied knowledge mobilization are core values for many of our research projects.
