Bio

Salomé Buglass is a Postdoctoral Fellow affiliated with IRES at UBC and the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). She is a marine ecologist specializing in the distribution of benthic communities across shallow, mesophotic, and deep-sea environments, with a regional focus on the Galápagos Archipelago and the Eastern Tropical Pacific. Her research integrates fieldwork, community ecology, and low-cost underwater technologies, with a commitment to inclusive, collaborative science and capacity building in the Global South.
