Prama is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the All Our Chemical Relations project at the EGESTA Lab, under the supervision of Dr. Gunilla Öberg. Her current work focuses on developing educational materials to support university students and researchers in engaging ethically with Indigenous Peoples in chemical risk management projects. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from Queen’s University (2025), located on the unceded territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Huron-Wendat Peoples. Her doctoral research developed a sustainable, nature-based bioremediation framework for addressing ecotoxic petroleum hydrocarbon contamination in the Canadian boreal ecozone, using integrated plant–fungal and plant-growth-promoting rhizobacterial systems in soil.
