Bio

Lisa Indah Wijayani is currently pursuing her PhD at the Institute for Resources, Environment and Sustainability (IRES) at UBC. She possesses a multidisciplinary background in the green economy, primarily concentrating on promoting equitable energy transitions and fostering fair climate solutions. Her research encompasses various fields, particularly focusing on improving labor economic development, reskilling and education, as well as green digitalization.

Lisa has engaged in research concerning just transitions in coal regions in both Indonesia and Germany, where she concentrated on strategies for economic diversification to facilitate energy transformation. Her recent work on justice issues has further solidified her commitment to just transition topics. As part of the Accelerating Community Energy Transition (ACET) project, Lisa is dedicated to developing a change system to ensure a just energy transition within the framework of labor economic transformation, while also enhancing energy literacy in the implementation of clean energy deployment.
