Bio
Dayna Rachkowski, originally from Sudbury Ontario, has studied and worked in Vancouver for the past 3 years. Dayna received her BA in Environmental Governance at the University of Guelph, and completed her MA within the IRES program, producing her thesis: “Strengthening Environmental Protection for a Healthier Canada Act: The Right to a Healthy Environment & Accountability in Chemicals Management.” After a year working as a research assistant in the EGESTA Lab, Dayna is beginning her PhD under the supervision of both Dr. Gunilla Öberg, and Dr. Susan Chiblow. Her research intends to produce educational materials for current and future chemical risk professionals — to strengthen their ability to contribute to the decolonization of chemicals management.
Dayna is currently a member of the IRES student society & a host at Gatherwell in Vancouver. Outside of her working hours, you can find her on her bike.
