Dec 1, 3:30pm – 5:30pm | Force of Nature x UBC Climate Café

In light of this COP and the stark absence of urgency in the negotiations, amidst the intensifying climate crisis, it is a normal response for us, especially as young people, to feel eco-anxiety. That is, feeling anxious and concerned about the future because of the state of our climate, and being overwhelmed by a sense of powerlessness in light of the colossal threat of climate change.

For this reason, we are very excited to announce that we will be organizing a Climate Café! This specific climate café series is an initiative started by Force of Nature, a youth-led NGO based in the UK to provide a space for folks to talk about all sorts of climate emotions during and around the vicinity of COP negotiations. On top of their incredible flagship cafe at London’s Natural History Museum, this initiative has inspired dozens of decentralized climate cafés around the world — ours included!
