Dr. Kimani Karangu is an educator and researcher specializing in curriculum and pedagogy, with a commitment to advancing decolonial approaches to education. His work draws on Utu/Ubuntu philosophy to center humanity, relationality, community, and collective well-being in teaching, learning, and research.

A visitor from Kenya, Dr. KK brings a rich transnational perspective to his scholarship and educational practice. He previously served as President of the UBC Graduate Student Society (2020–2022) and continues to engage in research and community-building that connects education, culture, and social transformation
