Bio

Morgan (He/Him) is an MSc student at the Institute for Resources, Environment, and Sustainability (IRES), under the supervision of Dr. Amanda Giang in the Lab for Environmental Assessment and Policy (LEAP). He holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science from UBC, with a focus on land, air, and water systems. He has previously conducted research mapping ambient PM2.5 and Black Carbon concentrations to identify high pollution zones in Sechelt, BC. His current research involves modeling indoor air quality in response to energy retrofits in Musqueam First Nation (xʷməθkʷəy̓əm) housing.

He is particularly passionate about air quality research at the intersection of science, policy, and public communication. He is interested in developing tools and approaches that make complex environmental data accessible, with the goal of empowering communities to better understand and manage the health impacts of air pollution. Outside of his academic work, he enjoys skiing, hiking, and cooking.
