Ideal Timeline for RMES Master’s students
September Year 1
- Student begins program
- Student meets with primary adviser to determine research and course plan.
March/April Year 1
- Student has rough idea of thesis and research intentions and has formed his/her committee and held the first meeting
- Supervisor & Committee Member Selection Form (RMES)
- 1st Committee Report Form (RMES)
April Year 1
- Spring Review takes place
May to August Year 1
- Student makes further progress.
- Fieldwork and data collection necessary for thesis takes place.
September Year 2
- Student completes data collection.
- 2nd Committee Meeting
- 2nd Committee Report Form (RMES)
- Thesis Progress Report Form (RMES)
December Year 2
- Course Requirements Completed
To graduate and finish in Spring or Summer of Year 2, you may either:
April Year 2
- Submit Thesis or project by 2nd week of April to graduate in May
- Masters Thesis Approval Form (FoGS)
OR
August Year 2
- Submit Thesis by final week of August to meet Aug. 31st deadline
- Masters Thesis Approval Form (FoGS)
