Ecologies of Social Difference (ESD) Thematic Network

The Ecologies of Social Difference Thematic Network is an informal network of scholars, activists and student members interested in the intersections of social difference/inequality and nature/environment. We are inviting new members to join our network, and older members to update their profiles at esd.ubc.ca.

Anyone can join. Simply send your profile to esd.ubc@gmail.com. You can also write this address to join the listserve and receive information about upcoming events and related opportunities. We are also looking to organize some events this year, so energy and ideas towards that end are appreciated and welcome.

The ESD Network is also seeking applications for a 8 month RA position, to begin immediately through May of 2020. The RA should plan to work 5-10 hours per week. Hours are generally flexible, with the exception of helping with event organization which may require specific time commitments. Please contact lharris@ires.ubc.ca by Friday 11 October if you are interested in this opportunity. The pay will be at the rate of $26/hour and priority will be given to graduate students in the Institute for Gender, Race, Sexuality and Social Justice.

The ESD Network is generously supported by funds from the Institute for Gender, Race, Sexuality and Social Justice.
