The Environmental Standards Branch, in the Environmental Protection Division, develops pollution prevention legislation, standards and policies and is responsible for a wide array of environmental regulatory and non-regulatory programs in the areas of: air quality, water quality, waste reduction, solid and liquid waste planning and infrastructure, pesticide use, industrial operations and environmental protection in the built environment.
The Environmental Management Officer will lead and guide the development of ministry and/or provincial legislation, policy, and technical standards to support industrial waste management activities and decisions, with a preference for air emissions from industrial sources, towards the achievement of Environmental Protection Division priority goals and objectives.
