February 22 2018: Invitation to PhDs Go Public Event – VanDusen Botanical Gardens

It is with great pleasure that we reach out to you and announce that PhDs Go Public returns this year! This year, the trademark Research Talk Series of the Public Scholars Initiative features 6 distinct events where 36 scholars will talk about their research and how they hope to change the world.

We would like to invite you to our next event, Environmental Health for Human Health, which will be held at the Floral Hall, VanDusen Botanical Gardens on the 22nd of February, from 5:30 to 7:00. Our very own RES PhD Candidates Helina Jolly and Vinny Ricciardi will be speaking at this event!

This is the second event of the 6-part Research Talk Series PhDs Go Public<https://www.grad.ubc.ca/about-us/news/phds-go-public-returns-2018>2018, where 36 Public Scholars from UBC talk about their research and how they hope to change the world.
This talk features 6 Public Scholars who seek to contribute to environmental well-being through research and communal engagement. The opening speaker for the event is Tom Green, policy analyst from the David Suzuki Foundation.
