Elizabeth Henry Scholarship

December 7 2017

We are also excited to announce that applications will open for the 2018 Elizabeth Henry Scholarship on January 20, 2018, and the 2018 application deadline will be May 10, 2018. Please visit the Fraser Basin Council’s website to learn more about the scholarship and its goals. We encourage you to spread the word to any students you might know who could benefit from the scholarship or to any professors who could share this with their students.

We couldn’t do this important work and carry on Elizabeth’s legacy without your ongoing support. The Elizabeth Henry Scholarship Fund at the Vancouver Foundation now stands at over $72,000. Our hope is to be able to award annual $2,000 graduate scholarships in perpetuity, and the scholarship committee has set a goal to reach at least $100,000 in order to provide secure future funding for the scholarship.

We would like to invite you to consider donating so that we may achieve this important goal. You can make a donation at the Vancouver Foundation website or mail your cheque to the Vancouver Foundation, Suite 200 – 475 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, BC, Canada, V6B 4M9. Please put Elizabeth Henry Scholarship in the memo line. Please note that setting up a monthly recurring donation is now possible through the Vancouver Foundation website.

It’s very heartening to see what this scholarship has meant for all of our recipients. Andrea (2016), Michelle (2016), Matthew (2016), Kim-Ly (2017) and Ada (2017) embody the values that Elizabeth stood for, and we are thrilled to see the impact they are having. We look forward to an exciting year to come as we prepare to select our 2018 recipients.

Our warmest Season’s Greetings.

Sincerely,

David & Suzanne Henry and the Elizabeth Henry Scholarship Committee
